OTHER BACKWARD COMMUNITY CELL

The OBC cell has been established to address the concerns and issues pertaining to the OBC students and staff of the College. VCSM is committed to a holistic educational philosophy that prioritizes the complete inclusion of all individuals. The OBC cell functions in the campus in accordance with the XI plan guidelines of the University Grants Commission for the upbringing of the OBC students equal to the mainstream communities. Its purview included holding workshops, conferences, and hearing out student complaints, all of which serve to broaden students' horizons and prepare them to succeed in the global marketplace of the future. In addition, it assists the students to receive the scholarships, internships, government schemes from the state and central government bodies.

Objectives:

  • To eliminate prejudice based on racial or ethnic origin from our college.
  • To put an end to the plight of the students of underrepresented class.
  • To provide OBC students with information about various State Government and UGC scholarship programs in order to inspire them to make better future plans.
  • To develop such students' personalities and leadership skills while raising awareness and instilling ideals in them.
  • To enhance the employability of OBC students.
  • To ensure fair opportunities on all fronts.
